Exceptional valley of 24 km between Argentat and Beaulieu.

Argentat

Argentat is located on the Dordogne at the crossroads of the Limousin, Auvergne and Quercy. After five large dams on the Dordogne the river is flowing free between the wooded hills.

The river was important for trade and from the old port, various goods to «Gabare» Boats transported to Bergerac and Libourne.

Along the quay are still the authentic houses with wooden balconies. There is a walk through the old center.

Beaulieu
